Fire Sprinkler Maintenance

It is essential to maintain your fire sprinkler system to ensure that it is always meeting British standard safety requirements. At BM Sprinklers, we provide an all-round service which means we will carry out an annual service of your sprinkler systems and keep you up-to-date.

We will take the pressure off by sending necessary reminders that your sprinkler system is due for servicing as we know a year on in the diary is a long time for you to remember – but thankfully we have a dedicated team to remember for you.

The maintenance package includes:

• Inspection of all sprinkler heads to ensure:
• all cover plates fitted correctly
• there are no signs of a leak around the head
• The head still covers the protected area
• Ceiling and wall inspection for weeping joints
• Lagging inspection (if applicable)
• Trace heating inspection and testing (if applicable)
• Alarm systems inspection and testing (if applicable)
• Testing and inspection of alarm interfaces (if applicable)
• Control systems inspection
• Inspection on pump (if applicable)
• Inspection of tank (if applicable):
• Water level inspection
• Signs of leaks
• Low level alarm inspection
• Test for presence of bacteria
• Full commissioning test

Once the service has been completed a new commissioning certificate will be issued and the log book signed. If the service shows that remedial works are required then a full report will be issued.
